Upcoming Performances
The Christmas Concerts, 2026
Our Christmas will be slightly different this year. We are planning a matinee concert, in collaboration with the Sheffield Clarinet Ensemble, in the afternoon of Saturday 19th of December, at 2.30pm, as well as our usual evening performance, at 7.15pm, both at Christchurch, Stannington.
.............................................................................................................................................................
We hope this will give an opportunity for the younger memebers of our audience to come along, with the added bonus of seeing us in collaboration with The Sheffield Clarinet Ensemble, performing Oliver Tarney's
The Night Before Christmas.
We are planning a mix of traditional carols, pop carols, and of course, the much-loved local carols, as we are fully committed to keeping them alive and well known.
If you want to start feeling Christmassy, this is a good place to begin, and warm the cockles of your heart. And yes - there will be opportunities to join in, if you want to.....and we do sing the codas!
Tickets are available via the link to eventbrite, or from choir members. We usually sell out, so we advise getting your tickets well in advance.
As usual, we plan to make donations to local charities, which are decided upon after the concert.
So, put it in your diary! It will be a lot of fun. And we'll give you a glass of wine and a mince pie in the interval.
We have also been invited back to sing carols at Lower Coates Farm on 18th December, between 6 - 8pm
This is an informal, fun evening, run by the farm, which has been popular in the past. The choir are happy to take requests from the audience, and good fun is had by all.
